Well, I started posting a lot of stuff about Buddhism a few weeks ago, and as I’ve been posting this stuff I’ve further realized how true Buddhism really is. I think that if I had to pick a religion it would be Buddhism now, and I’d be perfectly alright with that.
I suppose the only thing keeping me from calling myself a Buddhist now would be that I’ve been non-religious for so long and I feel that it’s a major part of who I am. There is also the issues with karma and reincarnation: I don’t believe any of them to be true. I see that karma has some root in reality, but to the extent the Buddhist believe it I think it’s false.
However, I do follow Buddhist teachings otherwise and meditate occasionally, but I’m not to strict on myself about it. I just use what I’ve learned from it in everyday life. In fact, it really has helped me a lot.
